LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 20, 2017) – Local logistics and e-commerce businesses plan to hire thousands of workers to help them process and fulfill orders for the holiday season, and some highly skilled workers can earn upwards of $30 per hour.

Logistics giant UPS, Louisville’s largest employer, plans to add 3,400 seasonal employees through the end of the year, about the same as last year. The company is looking primarily for part-time package handlers, which, UPS said, is “a fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering and sliding of packages.”

Package handlers can earn $10.20 per hour and a $200 bonus per week for designated shifts. Driver helpers can earn $15 per hour, delivery drivers get $18.75 per hour and tractor trailer drivers can earn $32. The company also provides benefits including up to $25,000 toward college tuition.
