HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (May 29, 2018) — Northern Kentucky University has been named one of the top colleges for adult learners. Washington Monthly, a nationally recognized publication that ranks U.S. institutions, compiled the top 100 schools in its America’s Best Colleges for Adult Learners list.

NKU earned the ranking because it provides an easy transfer experience, flexible programs and support services for adult learners. The university created its Program for Adult-Certified Education (PACE) to provide customized, hands-on programs for adult learners.

“We are committed to providing the best learning experience for all students,” said Sara Conwell, advisor for the PACE program. “Our diverse programs provide the necessary experience and curriculum for our students to succeed beyond the classroom.”

The adult learners program offers unique learning opportunities such as PACE, online degrees, credit for prior learning, professional certificates and graduate education. Courses are taught in accelerated five to eight weeks courses with four years of academic planning. NKU also participates in Project Graduate, a statewide initiative from the Council on Postsecondary Education that allows adult learners to return to complete their undergraduate degree.
