LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 31, 2018) — Gladys Lopez has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Norton Healthcare.
In her role, Lopez will oversee all human resources activities for the 14,000-employee organization, including operations, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, and workforce development. She was chosen following a national search to fill the position.

Lopez brings nearly 20 years of experience in human resources management, labor relations, health care, public administration and nonprofit management. Previous positions include chief human resources officer, Cook County Health and Hospitals System; director of human resources, Provident Hospital of Cook County; and senior director, employee services and workforce development, Heartland Alliance; all in Chicago, Ill. She will officially begin her Norton Healthcare career in June.
Lopez earned her doctorate in law from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, Ill., and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also is bilingual in English and Spanish.
