FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 28, 2018) – Gov. Matt Bevin today announced Stryker Logistics LLC plans to open a new international headquarters in Bowling Green, a $1.5 million project creating 50 full-time jobs.
“The success of Stryker Logistics is a prime example of the upside potential that Kentucky has to offer,” Gov. Bevin said. “This dynamic company continues to demonstrate incredible tenacity and promise, and we are grateful for their decision to keep and expand their headquarters in Warren County. Looking to the future together, this relationship is sure to be a boon for Stryker, the Bowling Green area and the commonwealth as a whole.”
The headquarters will locate in the 25,000-square-foot former Western Kentucky Plastics facility on Dishman Lane in Bowling Green. The location will include a warehouse and distribution center, as well as a headquarters office. Stryker’s expansion will extend services to clients across the south, bringing a number of jobs that were previously located overseas back to Kentucky.

Avdic founded Stryker in Bowling Green in 2015 and expanded it rapidly across the last three years, growing it from a one-man operation to 14 employees with three Kentucky locations and a support office in Bosnia. Advic said the company defines itself on terrific customer service, and the new Bowling Green facility will extend premium service to clients spanning the US South. By using asset warehousing and third-party freight brokering, Stryker can track shipments 24 hours a day.
Since opening, Stryker’s total monthly revenue increased by 10,000 percent, Advic said. Stryker was recognized in Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the best entrepreneurial businesses in America, one of only two Kentucky businesses to receive such an honor. Prior to founding Stryker, Avdic also founded and sold another trucking company that remains successful in Bowling Green today.
Sen. Mike Wilson, of Bowling Green, said he is pleased to see Stryker grow with the community’s support.
“To have such a highly recognized, expanding company in Senate District 32 makes me extremely proud,” Sen. Wilson said. “It is good to know that my constituents are contributing to Stryker’s success and the whole community is benefiting from its economic growth.”
Rep. Jody Richards, of Bowling Green, said he appreciates Stryker’s commitment to doing business in Warren County.

Bowling Green Mayor Bruce Wilkerson noted the company’s commitment to its customer base.

Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon said the company’s rapid growth can encourage even further economic success in the area.

Congratulations to Stryker on what is the first of many expansions in our community.”

To encourage the investment and job growth in the community, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) in June preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $200,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the agreement term through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.
In addition, Stryker can receive resources from the Kentucky Skills Network. Through the Kentucky Skills Network, companies can receive no-cost recruitment and job placement services, reduced-cost customized training and job training incentives. In fiscal 2017, the Kentucky Skills Network provided training for more than 120,000 Kentuckians and 5,700 companies from a variety of industry sectors.
