LEXINGTON, Ky. – Dupree Financial Group welcomed Guy A. Huguelet III as the newest addition to its staff. Huguelet takes over as vice president of sales.
Huguelet joins Dupree Financial Group with over 35 years in sales management experience in commercial banking and financial services, human resources, staffing, public safety education and community awareness programs.

My family has been in the investment business for over 40 years and as a third generation Lexingtonian, I have always had a desire to do the same,” said Huguelet. “I am excited to join the team at Dupree, an organization that is synonymous with the investment business for over 75 years and a passion for making a difference.”

Prior to joining Dupree Financial Group, Huguelet was the founding president and CEO of PSI of Kentucky and The Public Safety Institute Foundation. PSI of Kentucky operates Drive Safe Kentucky – a traffic safety education program throughout the commonwealth. The foundation operates Drive Safe Kentucky “Save a life and take the Pledge” driving awareness campaign and “Your life is worth Saving” Intervention and Prevention program to Kentucky middle and high school students.
Huguelet is the previous owner of the G. Alexander Human Resource Group; an executive search and human resource company and Adecco of Central Kentucky, a full-service staffing company and worldwide leader in the human resource industry. He also served as the founder and executive director of Jubilee Jobs of Lexington, a nonprofit job placement agency that specialized in finding jobs for the unemployed and under-employed. Prior to his involvement in the staffing industry, he worked in the banking and financial services at Frist Security National Bank and Trust Company.
He currently serves as chairman of the board of the Shepherd’s House Inc, executive committee, board and annual campaign chair of YMCA of Paris, Bourbon County and a member of the Paris Rotary Club.
Huguelet’s experience also includes chairman of Commerce Lexington Board of Directors, Strides Ahead, One Team One Vision Board, Economic Development Board Lexington Industrial Foundation, Council of Smaller Enterprises and Commerce Lexington Winner’s Circle Campaign. He has served on the Chamber of Commerce Board for over 10 years and served as Vice Chairman of Marketing and Membership and Treasurer along with United Way of the Bluegrass Board of Directors and Campaign Chair. He is a graduate of Leadership Lexington and served on the Leadership Lexington Steering Committee for two terms.
