$1 million lottery ticket sold in Madisonville, Ky.; no winner in Mega Millions jackpot

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — While no one hit last night’s Mega Millions jackpot – bringing it now to an estimated $900 million, the second-largest jackpot in United States history – one lucky player did match all the white ball winning numbers but not the Mega Ball to win the game’s second prize of $1 million.

The winning numbers were: 3-45-49-61-69 with a Mega Ball of 9.

The $1 million ticket was sold in Madisonville, Ky. according to lottery officials. After a series of security checks were executed at the retailer this morning, the name of the store was released:

The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.   

A $10,000 winning ticket for the draw was also sold in London, Ky.

The jackpot for the next Mega Millions drawing on Friday, Oct. 19 will be worth estimated $900 million. The cash option amount is an estimated $513.4 million.
