Lottery ticket sold in Lexington wins $1 million in Powerball drawing

LEXINGTON, Ky. — A ticket sold in Lexington for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing matched all five white ball winning numbers but not the Powerball, winning the game’s second prize of $1 million.

The winning Powerball number from last night’s drawing are: 3 – 57 – 64 – 68 – 69, with a Powerball of 15.

Lottery staff executed a series of security checks at the retailer that sold the winning ticket. The retailer was:

Minit Mart #664

Leestown Road

109 Towne Center Drive

Lexington, Ky. 40511

There was also a $150,000 winning ticket from last night’s Powerball drawing sold in Owensboro. The name of that retailer will be released later today following the same security check.

This is the third millionaire created in Kentucky in the past 10 days. On Oct. 8, Ashley Eggen of Elizabethtown won a $1 million prize in the Mega Millions drawing. And on Wednesday, Ronnie Parker of Dawson Springs cashed a $1 million ticket from Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing.

Powerball now rolls to an estimated $430 million for Saturday’s drawing, while the Mega Millions jackpot for Friday night has swelled to $900 million. This will be the second largest lottery jackpot ever offered in U.S. history.
