Morehead State names new registrar

MOREHEAD, Ky. — Keith Moore, assistant dean of the Elmer R. Smith College of Business and Technology and director of the Master of Business Administration program, has been appointed to the position of registrar at Morehead State University following a nationwide search.

Moore will assume the position effective Dec. 1.

“Keith has over 20 years of higher education administrative experience and I am confident he will do outstanding work in this new role,” Dr. Bob Albert, interim provost and vice president of academic affairs, said in an email to the campus community. “He also brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and leadership experience with him that will serve our students and our university well.”

Moore is a two-time graduate of Morehead State, earning both an undergraduate degree in finance and a Master of Business Administration degree.

Prior to assuming the position of registrar, he worked as assistant to the dean, Innovation Launchpad director and MBA program director at Morehead State. He also previously served as district director of the MSU East Kentucky Small Business Development Center. In addition, Moore has more than 25 years of experience teaching finance and entrepreneurship courses at MSU.

Moore is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor’s Society and board member of the Rowan County Community Fund, as well as a former participant in Morehead State University’s President’s Leadership Academy. He lives in Hillsboro with his wife, Amy. The Moores have two children, Emily and Benjamin.
