LBAR announces 2019 board of directors

Al Blevins

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Al Blevins has been installed as the 2019 president of the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors (LBAR).

Blevins is the broker manager of Caswell Prewitt Realty, and has been a licensed real estate professional since 1990.

Prior to joining Caswell Prewitt Realty full-time in 2002, he had a successful banking career for 21 years in Mount Sterling where he served in several leadership roles as an executive vice president, chief operating officer and a member of the board of directors.

Blevins was named Realtor of the Year in 2017 for LBAR and previously served as president in 2013. Over the years, he has been a member of several committees including executive, finance and the board of directors. At the state level with Kentucky Realtors, Blevins served on many committees including investment, member services and bylaws. He has also been a member of the KYR board of directors.

Blevins is a graduate of Georgetown College where he was a basketball standout and was inducted into the Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. In addition, he earned a degree from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in 1996.

In his community, Blevins has given his time to various organizations like the Montgomery County Industrial Authority Board, the United Way, the Mount Sterling Main Street Commission, Chamber of Commerce and Golf and Country Club. He is an active member of First Baptist Church in Mount Sterling where he serves in various roles.
