SentryHealth names chief operating officer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — SentryHealth, an innovative Louisville-based healthcare company, has named Steven Sablan as chief operating officer. In this role, Sablan will spearhead the acceleration of SentryHealth’s information technology platform to support its innovative employer healthcare services.

“SentryHealth’s approach to delivering healthcare at the worksite is driven by evidence-based solutions by the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Medicine,” said CEO Alice Shade. “Steve’s expertise will enable us to optimize our Healthward technology and care delivery processes to address current and future market opportunities.”

Formerly the chief information officer for Healthcare First, Sablan is a seasoned healthcare technology executive bringing more than 25 years of experience to SentryHealth. In his prior role, he was responsible for recruiting, developing, mentoring and leading product development teams consisting of software engineers, product owners, project managers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts and technical writers.

Sablan is joining the SentryHealth team at a pivotal point for the company. SentryHealth recently announced a 5-year collaboration agreement with Johns Hopkins HealthCare. Originally focused in the Midwest, SentryHealth has expanded into new geographies including Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Washington D.C., Oklahoma and beyond.
