RJ Thieneman acquires Limestone Centre in Frankfort

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville-based development company RJ Thieneman has announced the acquisition of Limestone Centre, a shopping center in Frankfort, Ky. Located in a primary retail corridor at 200-202 Limestone Drive, Limestone Centre consists of over 87,000 square feet of retail space. The center is adjacent to another RJ Thieneman property, Franklin Square, with notable retailers like Kroger, JCPenney and Tuesday Morning.

The acquisition is a joint venture between RJ Thieneman, Seay Properties and a select group of private investors.

“We have seen great success with Franklin Square and we’re excited to expand our presence in Frankfort,” says Brian Thieneman, CEO of RJ Thieneman. “Bringing new retailers and service providers into Limestone Centre not only provides more options for residents, but it also creates job opportunities and adds value to the community.”

Several potential tenants are currently being considered to occupy the center.

“We want consumers to have the best experience possible when they visit our shopping centers and that starts with having the right mix of businesses,“ says Thieneman. The Limestone Centre acquisition marks the fourth purchase in central Kentucky for RJ Thieneman, which also owns and manages Regency Centre in Lexington and Kroger Plaza in Winchester—in addition to Franklin Square in Frankfort.

The strategic partnership between RJ Thieneman and Seay Properties (Thieneman-Seay LLC) was formed for the purpose of expanding opportunities and growing portfolios by acquiring and developing commercial properties in Louisville and surrounding metropolitan areas with a select group of private investors. The key principals are Brian Thieneman and Benton Seay, CEOs of their respective family-owned companies.
