U.S. Bank Scholarship Endowment established at Morehead State

MOREHEAD, Ky. — Morehead State University has announced the establishment of the U.S. Bank Scholarship Endowment. The $100,000 contribution to establish the scholarship endowment was made as part of the Soar to New Heights Scholarship Campaign, an initiative by the University to raise $15 million for student scholarships.

U.S. Bank has been a longtime corporate partner of Morehead State University. Both the local banking centers and the U.S. Bank Foundation have made a tremendous impact on countless Eagles. The scholarship created from this endowment will be awarded to students from MSU’s service region. U.S. Bank’s regional president and MSU alumnus Perry Allen (83) states curbing student financial debt as one of the reasons this endowment was created.

“Anything U.S. Bank can do to make it easier for students to come to Morehead State University and complete their degree, that’s what we’re going to do,” Allen said. “We hope that by creating this scholarship endowment, we can create that opportunity for more students.”
