LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville-based SentryHealth recently won two awards for their efforts to improve healthcare and lower costs in the healthcare industry. Awards include the 2019 Inc.credible Health & Wellness Award presented by Greater Louisville Inc. and the Worksite Wellness Gold Award, which honors companies that provide health and wellness programs for their employees, presented by the Worksite Wellness Council of Louisville. Both awards recognize the hard work of businesses in Louisville, KY.
SentryHealth was formed in 2011 from the University of Louisville’s Office of Technology Transfer to address the high cost of employee healthcare for self-insured employers. Combining years of data, advanced analytics, and a high-technology platform called Healthward, SentryHealth addresses the chronic employee health issues that are associated with more than 70 percent of medical spending.
SentryHealth was recognized during two award ceremonies held on Thursday, May 16.

SentryHealth was one of 32 companies in the running for the 2019 Inc.credible Awards presented by Citizens Union Bank. The annual awards celebrate small businesses within the Greater Louisville region. Additionally, they were among 54 companies to receive a Worksite Wellness Award which recognizes their commitment to employee health and well-being through employee wellness programs.
Recently CEO and co-founder, Alice Shade, was named an Emerging Entrepreneur by the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in November 2018. SentryHealth is also an active member of the Louisville entrepreneur community, with a highly experienced board of managers, including chairman Bruce Lunsford.
