PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Community Trust Bank Branch Manager David Akers has been promoted to market vice president, Mark A. Gooch, president and CEO, announced Wednesday.
Akers’ duties as branch manager include providing consumer, residential and commercial lending options to new and existing client relationships, overseeing the daily operations of the branch office, calling on existing and prospective clients to develop new business and to retain and expand existing business, and providing coaching and development to staff. His office is located at 137 Main Street in downtown Pikeville.
Akers has worked for Community Trust Bank for more than 19 years as a teller, mortgage loan processor and a branch manager. He has been a branch manager and loan officer for more than 14 years.
Akers graduated from Shelby Valley High School in Robinson Creek, Ky. He earned a bachelor of business administration degree from Pikeville College / The University of Pikeville. He is a graduate of the Kentucky Bankers Association’s General Banking School and of Leadership Pike County.
He lives in Pikeville.
