LEXINGTON, Ky. — VisitLEX has announced Stephen Barnett has joined the team as a new destination sales manager. He will work with leaders in Lexington and throughout the country via corporate, medical, religious and fraternal organizations to attract meetings and events to our city.
Barnett served the University of Kentucky for the past 15 years in the Office of Undergraduate Admission & University Registrar where he promoted Lexington through recruiting events in cities across the country. He was advanced several times during his tenure and brings a vast wealth of leadership experience and community outreach involvement to the team.
“His familiarity with VisitLEX, our Recommend LEX program and his vast network of contacts at UK and within the Lexington community will serve him well as he transitions into his role here at VisitLEX,” said Marci Krueger-Sidebottom, vice president of sales and services for VisitLEX. “Stephen has a true passion for Lexington, and we are delighted to have him join our sales team.”
