Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions.

Holly Kellam McCoy, Neal J. Moser and Charles Robert Oliver have been appointed as members of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Advisory Committee.

  • Dr. Holly Kellam McCoy, of Bardstown, is a physician. She will represent the Speaker of the House of Representatives and serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2022; and
  • Dr. Neal J. Moser, of Taylor Mill, is a physician. He will represent internal medicine physicians and serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2022; and
  • Dr. Charles Robert Oliver, of Glasgow, is a pharmacist and business owner. He will represent pharmacists and serve for a term expiring Nov. 15, 2022.

The Pharmacy and Therapeutics Advisory Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the Governor, the Secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and the Medicaid Commissioner on the development and administration of an outpatient drug formulary.

Philip Thornton, Sharon A. Wheatley, Kellie C. Smith, Angela R. Rodgers, Laureen Mary Vassil, Stella W. Beard, Jerry S. Wheatley and Donna Howard Littrell have been appointed as members of the Hart-Supported Living Council.

  • Philip Thornton, of Nicholasville, is retired. He will represent family members of persons with a disability and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022; and
  • Sharon A. Wheatley, of Lebanon, is a housing supervisor. She will represent family members of persons with a disability and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022; and
  • Kellie C. Smith, of Nicholasville, is a training coordinator. She will represent members at-large and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022; and
  • Angela R. Rodgers, of Liberty, is a teacher. She will represent advocates for persons with a disability and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022; and
  • Laureen Mary Vassil, of Lexington, is a nurse. She will represent family members of persons with a disability and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022; and
  • Stella W. Beard, of Dunnville, is an education outreach coordinator. She will represent members at-large and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022; and
  • Jerry S. Wheatley, of Louisville, is an information specialist. He will represent persons with a disability and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022; and
  • Donna Howard Littrell, of Bronston, is a program director. She will represent professionals and providers and serve for a term expiring July 14, 2022.

The Hart-Supported Living Council makes recommendations to the Department for Aging and Independent Living regarding budget priorities, quality assurance standards and the procedure for annual review. The Council also provides information about available grants, provides due process for consumers and providers of supported living services, monitors the overall effectiveness and quality of the program and develops recommendations for improvements.
