LEXINGTON, Ky. — Recognizing their shared mission, Lexington Christian Academy and Georgetown College announced a partnership Monday that includes a tuition-match scholarship for LCA students attending Georgetown College.

The Christian School Partner Scholarship will allow students from LCA to attend Georgetown for the same cost as the current, posted 12th-grade tuition at Lexington Christian Academy, and is renewable for four years. The tuition match will be available to all residential, full-time students admitted to Georgetown College after graduating from Lexington Christian Academy beginning in fall 2020.

This new partnership provides students from LCA the unique opportunity to further their education at an institution which aligns with the mission of their secondary education, while maintaining the cost of that education for those students and their families.

“Many wonderful students from Lexington Christian Academy have attended Georgetown College over the years and found the same excellence of education, preparation for careers and graduate school, and close relationships with their teachers that they experienced during their high school careers,” said Dr. Jonathan Sands Wise, VP of enrollment management at Georgetown College. “When President Will Jones came this summer and asked us to come up with imaginative new ways to get more students who can succeed at Georgetown College, a closer partnership with LCA just made sense. It is our hope that by making a Christian higher education more affordable, we can encourage many more students from LCA to come and explore what they are called to do and who they are called to be at Georgetown College.”

“This partnership is an excellent example of the opportunities that can be created by organizations such as Georgetown College and Lexington Christian Academy when making the needs of our students a top priority,” said Mark Sisk, head of school at LCA. “Georgetown College is an exceptional Christian College and outstanding option for our students as they consider the next step of their educational journeys. We are grateful for the blessing of President Jones and Dr. Sands Wise for championing this initiative. We’re looking forward to expanding an already deep and meaningful relationship with Georgetown College.”
