LBX Co. again donating $500 to AHA for each Link-Belt excavator it sells in February

Fourth year of special participation in the Life Is Why We Give campaign
LBX Company, the maker of Link-Belt excavators in Lexington, donated $51,000 to the American Heart Association in 2019 through its program to give $500 for each Link-Belt excavator it sold in the month of February.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb 12, 2020) — Every 40 seconds, someone in America experiences a stroke or a heart attack. To confront this national health priority, this month the American Heart Association is teaming up with companies in Kentucky and around the country to change these outcomes through the Life Is Why We Give™ campaign.

Park of the AHA mission is to be a global force for longer, healthier lives, and its Life Is Why We Give initiative inspires consumers to honor their reasons to live healthier, longer lives – by giving.

Leading Kentucky participants in the Life Is Why We Give campaign the past few years include LBX Company, the maker of Link-Belt excavators, and its customers. LBX finds the campaign a quick and easy way to give to the Association and support its mission by giving $500 to the AHA for every Link-Belt® excavator, forestry machine or material handler retailed in February in North America.

This is the fourth year of the LBX in February. The company donated $48,500 in 2017; $47,500 in 2018; and $51,000 in 2019.

“We are proud to support the American Heart Association and Life is Why We Give for the fourth consecutive year,” said Eric Sauvage, president & CEO, LBX Company LLC. “Our support of the AHA is totally in line with our purpose: to build stronger communities. The work of the Association makes a significant difference in the health and wellness of our community.”

LBX is a national supporter of this program, along with other national companies, including Advance Auto, Kroger, Orangetheory Fitness, Pilot Company, Gordmans, Stater Bros. Markets and Stein Mart.

Donations through Life is Why We Give participating retailers – no matter the amount – allow the Association to:

• Fund research that can improve the health outcomes of heart and stroke patients;

• Train more than 2.5 million high school students in CPR annually; and

• Support the work of local entrepreneurs and organizations working to improve health outcomes in under-resourced communities.
