WKU names vice president for enrollment and student experience

Ethan Logan

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Western Kentucky University has named Ethan Logan as the new vice president for Enrollment and Student Experience, effective May 15.

Dr. Logan has been with Texas Tech University since 1999 and is currently the associate vice president for Strategic Initiatives. He has also served as the associate vice president for Enrollment Management, executive director of Undergraduate Admissions, associate dean of Students and associate director of the Center for Campus Life.

“Ethan’s responsibilities at Texas Tech span those of the Division of Enrollment and Student Experience, from recruiting students to providing a quality experience outside of the classroom,” WKU President Timothy C. Caboni said. “He has a demonstrated record of success and has shown he can leverage data to help grow enrollment. This approach is critical as we continue to refine our student recruitment processes.”

“My family and I are looking forward to joining the WKU and Bowling Green communities,” he said. “I am excited about the comprehensive student engagement environment at WKU.  I hope to contribute to this success and work together with the great people of WKU to promote this commitment.  The spirit and tradition of this remarkable institution inspire us; we are excited about climbing to greater heights with WKU!”

Dr. Logan holds three degrees from Texas Tech: a bachelor of English, a master of Education and a doctorate of Higher Education Administration.

Current Vice President Brian Kuster will retire June 30. Kuster, a WKU graduate, joined the staff in 1985 as a residence hall director. He became Vice President in 2016.

“I want to thank Brian for his many years of service to WKU and the leadership he has provided to Enrollment and Student Experience,” President Caboni said. “We wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
