Louisville-based Eclipse Bank opens second branch on Hurstbourne

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Eclipse Bank announced plans Thursday to open its second branch location in Louisville’s vibrant North Hurstbourne corridor. The new location, 400 North Hurstbourne Parkway, will be a full service, free standing branch with more than 5,500 s.f. The official opening is expected to occur during the fourth quarter of 2020.

The surrounding area has experienced rapid growth in recent years, including the ShelbyHurst Office Campus, with nearly 400,000 s.f. of Class A office space, and the Hurstbourne Business Park, a planned $100 million redevelopment project to include new apartments, a hotel, office space and two freestanding restaurants.

“This investment is just the latest step toward our vision of becoming Louisville’s Community Bank,” Eclipse Bank President and CEO Andrew Pyles said. “As out-of-town banks close offices and local competitors consolidate, we see an opportunity to fill that void. This location will allow us to better serve east Louisville, including the Middletown, Lyndon and Hurstbourne communities.”

The new branch will conveniently offer the same services that existing Eclipse Bank customers enjoy, including personal banking services such as checking, savings, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts and personal loan services, as well as business banking products such as checking, money market accounts and business loans.

Horizon Commercial Realty Agent Jeb Hollenbach represented Eclipse in the transaction.

“Jeb came across this property before it hit the market,” Pyles said. “It literally fell into our laps. He called and told us about the opportunity, we immediately submitted an LOI, and the rest was history.”
