80 works featured at 2nd annual Elizabethtown Film Festival

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. — Crowne Point Theatre will once again host the annual Elizabethtown Film Festival Sept. 18-20. This year’s event will feature 80 films which were chosen from over 900 entries.

The Elizabethtown Film Festival features short films, documentaries and feature-length films from filmmakers around the world. All entries were reviewed by a panel of judges, selecting the festival participants from a wide variety of categories. Category winners will be featured on Sunday.

“The festival is a unique opportunity for this community to see the work of many up and coming filmmakers,” said theater operator, Rick Roman. “We hope to continue to grow this event, making it a destination for movie lovers from all over.”

The first film blocks will be held this Friday at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Saturday will feature short-film blocks at 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 9:15 p.m., with a feature film block at 6 p.m. Short films will be featured again on Sunday at 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., while the festival will conclude with category winners at 6:30 p.m.

The judges for this year’s event included Shameca Freemen of Radcliff, Andrew Dobson-Frueh of Elizabethtown and Michael Nazarewycz of Delaware.
