LOUISVILLE, Ky. — UofL Health has been announced as the title partner for the Louisville Xtreme arena football team.
UofL Health, the commonwealth’s largest academic health system, is a leading provider of advanced healthcare in the region and will continue its partnership through the 2023 season.
“It is an honor to welcome UofL Health as our title partner with the Louisville Xtreme,” said Victor Cole, general manager, Louisville Xtreme Football. “With UofL Health we have an outstanding partner that will not only ensure the health and wellbeing of our players but will assist us in making sure that our fans, and staff, remain safe and healthy in these unprecedented times.”
“UofL Health is proud to invest back into our community by helping kick off the inaugural season of Louisville Xtreme,” said Tom Miller, CEO of UofL Health. “The COVID pandemic has taken its toll everywhere but, as conditions improve, we are hopeful the Louisville region will rally again around its enthusiasm for sports and support this team.”
Just concluding its first year as a health system, the title partnership with the Louisville Xtreme marks UofL Health’s entry into professional sports sponsorships. As part of the three-year partnership, UofL Health will provide support for Louisville Xtreme on COVID protocols, for players, staff, and fans. Wellness screenings and general health information will also be available at select games.
“Having access to advanced and expert medical care is vital for our team. Especially in this day and time,” said Louisville Xtreme head coach Mark Stoute. “There is no doubt in my mind that having UofL Health as our partner will have us winning championships sooner rather than later.”
