CPA firms DMLO, Rodefer Moss of Southern Indiana announce merger

Move will position DMLO as one of the largest CPA firms in the region

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The CPA firms of Deming, Malone, Livesay & Ostroff — better known as DMLO — and Rodefer Moss of Southern Indiana (Rodefer) have merged, effective Oct. 1.

The combination will create more opportunities for the merged firm on both sides of the Ohio River and will employ approximately 150 employees. Rodefer’s Managing Partner Doug York confirmed that no offices are closing, and no jobs are being eliminated.

“In fact,” he said, “we are looking for additional talent that would like to be part of a fun, flexible environment, doing meaningful work that makes a difference for their communities.”

DMLO President Chris Ward said the two firms have always been friendly competitors and share a passion for providing quality service to their clients.

“Our focus together is on being the best accounting firm in Kentuckiana in ways that truly matter,” Ward said. “Our purpose and value — to clients and to our community — extends beyond reporting financial results or calculating tax liabilities, and we will live that out daily.”

The merged firm will retain the name of DMLO and have three office locations in Corydon, Louisville and New Albany. DMLO CPAs provides a full range of tax, financial, advisory and client accounting services.
