Pandemic-related benefits to expire Dec. 26

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The CARES Act and other relief packages are expiring at the end of December, leaving many Kentuckians without assistance.

Spectrum News 1 talked to Jessica Klein, a policy associate at the Kentucky Center for Economic Policy, about how the expiration of benefits could affect hundreds of thousands of residents across the commonwealth.

She said providing additional relief would prevent harm to residents and keep the state’s economy from weakening further.
