KCTCS presidential search reopening; new goal is June 2021

kctcs, coronavirusVERSAILLES, Ky. – KCTCS announced the reopening of its presidential search.

The firm of Gold Hill Associates will continue to lead the search. Applications will be accepted through March 1. The board then will meet in closed sessions to select three-four finalists. In lieu of a separate search committee, individuals with specific expertise may be invited to provide input on the finalists.

A second special board meeting will be held in the spring to conduct in-person interviews of the finalists in closed session. The goal is for a new president to be named in June.

Dr. Jay Box, who became KCTCS president in 2015, had announced last year that he would retire in June 2020 but then postponed that date to Sept. 30 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on a search for his successor. Dr. Paul Czarapata has been serving as interim president since Oct. 1.
