MIDWAY, Ky. — In time to welcome spring to Central Kentucky, a fourth location of the Kentucky Proud brand, Spotz Gelato, is opening April 9 on Midway’s historic Main Street. The Midway location, at 130 E. Main St., marks Spotz Gelato’s fourth brick-and-mortar, the Shelbyville shop opened summer 2020; Georgetown and Versailles opened in 2019.

“We are seeing increased visits to our locations in Versailles, Georgetown and Shelbyville,” said Beth Richardson, Spotz Gelato owner. “The opening of Spotz Gelato Midway is extra special because we make the products on our farm, which is near the historic town. We spend a lot of time in Midway and look forward to being part of the movement to encourage people to embrace Kentucky’s small towns and small businesses.”
A Charity Preview Night is set for April 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. with all proceeds going to the Woodford Humane Society.
