Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Appointed Timothy Travis, Paulynn Covington, and Phillip Kash as members of the State Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education.

  • Timothy Travis of LaGrange is the executive director of pathology and laboratory medicine at the University of Louisville and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2023.
  • Paulynn Covington of Lexington is a middle school teacher at Fayette County Public Schools and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2023.
  • Phillip Kash of Louisville is COO of HI-FLOAT Company and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2024.

Appointed Frank Beaty as a member of the Kentucky Historic Preservation Review Board. Gov. Beshear has also reappointed Karl Raitz, Julie Riesenweber, Margaret Jacobs, and Kim McBride.

  • Frank Beaty of Eubank is retired. He replaces Regina Stivers, who has resigned and the term subsequently expired and shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2025.
  • Karl Raitz of Lexington is a professor at the University of Kentucky and shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2025.
  • Julie Riesenweber of Lexington is a professor at the University of Kentucky and shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2025.
  • Margaret Jacobs of Lexington is an architect at Tate, Hill & Jacobs and shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2025.
  • Kim McBride of Lexington is an archaeologist at the University of Kentucky and shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2025.

Appointed Dan Han, Sharon Eckler and Kiesha Curry as members of the Kentucky Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Board.

  • Dr. Dong “Dan” Y. Han of Lexington is chief of neuropsychology at University of Kentucky Healthcare. He replaces Jacquelyn Graven, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
  • Sharon Eckler of Louisville is retired. She replaces Mary Long Varga, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
  • Kiesha Curry of Paducah is a social worker at Signature Healthcare. She replaces Shannon Pettigrew, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2022.

Reappointed Tracy Neice as a member of the Waste Tire Working Group.

  • Tracy Neice of Hindman is the Mayor of Hindman and shall serve for a term expiring Aug. 1, 2024.

Appointed Hope Jones as a member of the Board of Nursing.

  • Hope Jones of Louisville is an assistant professor at Galen College of Nursing. She replaces Michele Dickens, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.

Appointed Ebony Muldrow as a member of the Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education.

  • Ebony Muldrow of Louisville is a higher education administrator at the University of Louisville. She replaces David Floyd, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring July 21, 2025.

Aappointed Huston Wells and Tim Webster as members of the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services.

  • Huston Wells of Frankfort is County Judge/Executive of Franklin County. He replaces Kevin Neal, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 19, 2025.
  • Tim Webster of California is a firefighter and EMT at the City of Florence. He replaces Adrienne Bryant, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 19, 2025.

Reappointed Dianne Dawes as a member of the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners.

  • Dianne Dawes of Versailles is a veterinarian at MedVet Lexington and shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 28, 2025.

Appointed Mansoor Mahmood and Larry “Bart” Francis as members of the Hazard Community and Technical College Board of Directors. Gov. Beshear has also reappointed William Weinberg.

  • Mansoor Mahmood of Forest Hills is a physician at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. He replaces Jyotin Chandarana, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring May 15, 2027.
  • Larry “Bart” Francis of Hazard is a physician at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. He replaces Joel Brashear, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring May 15, 2027.
  • William Weinberg of Hindman is an attorney at Clean Gas Inc. and shall serve for a term expiring May 15, 2027.

Appointed Sundeep Dronawat and John Cirigliano as members of the Work Ready Skills Advisory Committee.

  • Sundeep Dronawat of Prospect is CEO of POS on Cloud. He replaces Kristel Smith, who has resigned and the term subsequently expired and shall serve for a term expiring July 13, 2025.
  • John Cirigliano of Lexington is an executive at Clearbrook & Co. Ltd. He replaces Shad Sletto, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring July 13, 2025.

Appointed Jennifer White as a member of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Advisory Committee on the Second Chance Pathways to Recovery program.

  • Jennifer White of Morehead is director of health initiatives at Fletcher Group, Inc.

Appointed Susan Hershberg and Jennifer Mossotti as members of the Kentucky Commission on Women.

  • Susan Hershberg of Louisville is the owner of Wiltshire Pantry. She replaces Marta Miranda-Straub, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring Jan. 17, 2024.
  • Jennifer Mossotti of Lexington is a realtor at United Real Estate. She replaces Susan Fried, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring Jan. 17, 2025.
