Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky adds three team members

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky kicks off 2022 with three new team members. Chloe Atwater and Katy Walker join the health advocacy organization as policy associates. Ally Wells joins as communications associate.

  • Chloe Atwater, JD

Atwater will focus on policy advocacy related to children’s health and obesity and diabetes prevention. Prior to this role, she was a staff attorney in Kentucky Circuit Court. She holds Juris Doctor and Bachelor of the Arts degrees from the University of Kentucky.

 

  • Katy Walker, Ph.D.

Walker will focus her efforts on policy advocacy related to access to health care and tobacco-use reduction. She comes to the Foundation from the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights where she served as policy and advocacy coordinator. Walker began her career advancing policies at the federal level at Fight Crime: Invest in Kids in Washington, D.C. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College and a Ph.D. in History from New York University

 

  • Ally Wells

Wells joins the communications team supporting all internal and external efforts, including media relations, digital content, the annual report and other publications. She spent the past five years working as a news producer at WDRB-TV in Louisville. Wells graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
