VERSAILLES, Ky. (June 5, 2019) — Food and bourbon lovers can celebrate the best of both with a new summer dinner series at the historic Woodford Reserve Distillery, set amid the thoroughbred pastures of Central Kentucky.

The Best of Kentucky Dinner Series — held one evening in June, July, and August — will feature classic Kentucky fare with special bourbon tastings and cocktails. The events features live music, distillery tours, guest chefs and the menu of Woodford Reserve Chef-in-Residence Ouita Michel and Woodford Reserve Chef de Cuisine Nat Henton.

Tickets to all three events are on sale, but seats are limited to keep the dinners intimate.

Best of Kentucky Barbecue
Featuring Pitmaster John Foreman
Saturday, June 23
6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
$80/person

Award-winning Pitmaster John Foreman, owner of Old Hickory Bar-B-Q in Owensboro, Ky., will bring his talents to the Woodford Reserve Distillery. This evening will feature distillery tours, live music from bluegrass favorites Grits & Soul and a mouth-watering selection of the best Kentucky barbecue out there.

Menu highlights include sliced mutton, pulled pork, beef brisket, barrel stave smoked mac and cheese, broccoli salad and bourbon chocolate pecan pie.

Best of Kentucky Farm to Table Experience

Chef Nat Henton shows off his culinary skills this evening that includes distillery tours, live music and a beautiful menu featuring the freshest local products available. Menu highlights include country ham biscuits, grilled Ky vegetables, wagyu and angus beef, Woodford Reserve risotto, and bourbon flavor wheel cake.

Best of Kentucky Bourbon, Bits, Bites and the Big Screen

6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
$80/person

In the finale of our 2018 Best of Kentucky Summer Dinner Series, we celebrate the beautiful union between the bourbon industry and the horse industry that is thriving in Central Kentucky — a perfect date night or a night with friends and family. This evening will feature distillery tours, a gourmet concession-style menu and an outdoor viewing experience of the movie “Seabiscuit.” Guests will also have the opportunity to add on a tour of a local horse farm prior to the Woodford Reserve event.

Menu highlights include a crudite platter, all-American sliders, gaucho nachos, Midway Bakery Sweets and housemade bourbon caramel corn.
