Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Appointed the Honorable Kathryn Gabhart as Circuit Judge, Division 2, for the 14th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.

Appointed the Honorable Stacy Coontz as District Judge for the 50th Judicial District of Kentucky.

Appointed the Honorable Brandon Knoth as District Judge for the 56th Judicial District, Division 1, of Kentucky.

Appointed Kevin Auton as Property Valuation Administrator for Pike County.

Appointed Todd Case as a member of the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees.

  • Todd Case of Louisa is the owner of Todd Case Trucking. He replaces Joe Bowen, who is deceased, and shall serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.

Appointed Keith Hamilton as a member of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents.

  • Keith Hamilton of Louisville is the CEO of LB Manufacturing. He replaces Damon Van Allen, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending July 21, 2024.

Appointed C.B. Akins and Jake Brown as members of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.

  • C.B. Akins of Lexington is the pastor of First Baptist Church Bracktown. He replaces Virginia Wright, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2027.
  • Jake Brown of Louisville is a real estate developer for The Marian Group. He replaces Vidya Ravichandran, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2027.

Appointed Shannon Cales as a member of the Board of Directors of the Louisville Arena Authority, Inc.

  • Shannon Cales of Louisville is the CEO of NuLease Medical Solutions. She replaces Larissa Reece, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Jan. 9, 2024.

Appointed Catherine Parke as a member of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.

  • Catherine Parke of Georgetown is the owner of Valkyre Stud. She replaces Sam Aguiar, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 27, 2026.

Appointed Caroline Ruschell and Jaqueline Sugarman as members of the Kentucky Multidisciplinary Commission on Child Sexual Abuse.

  • Caroline Ruschell of Louisville is the director of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Kentucky.
  • Jaqueline Sugarman of Lexington is a child abuse pediatrician at the University of Kentucky.
