LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The leadership of Indianapolis-based Schmidt Associates, a regional architecture, engineering, and interior design firm, is pleased to announce that Veena Reddy, AIA, LEED AP, WELL AP has been hired as a project manager|associate based in the firm’s Louisville, Ky office.
A respected professional with 20 years of experience in the fields of architecture and sustainability, Reddy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wesleyan University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining Schmidt Associates, Reddy served as an architect for K. Norman Berry Associates Architects PLLC. Other experiences include architecture positions at Centerbrook Architects and Planners in Centerbrook, Conn., and Amenta Emma Architects in Hartford, Conn.
“I’m excited to join Schmidt Associates and apply my creative problem-solving skills and extensive technical background to create sustainable environments where people will thrive in all aspects of their lives,” Reddy said. “I look forward to proving myself as a trusted leader and an asset to every project as I design, reshape, and modernize integral urban architecture that enriches Midwest communities.”
While project management and sustainability efforts for the firm’s K-12, higher education, and community studios will be Reddy’s primary responsibilities, outside of work, she will continue impacting change in the City of Louisville by donating her services to several nonprofit organizations, including Bookworks, YouthBuild, and the Bernheim Research Forest. Additionally, she will continue serving on the International WELL Building Institute advisory board, the Louisville Sustainability Council board, as a newly appointed member of the Kentucky Science Center Board, and the Bernheim Research Forest LAND Committee.
