Delta Air Lines announces new, nonstop service Boston

Delta Air Lines is expanding its reach from the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) with new, nonstop service to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) beginning in Spring 2023. The new daily flight will launch on Monday, May 8, 2023 – just in time for the summer travel season.

“This news from Delta is a great way to close out the year,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “We welcome their investment and support with more options at SDF, which speak very highly to the strength of our market and interest from area travelers.”

The new flight gives the region’s travelers even more opportunities to reach the Northeast to support a variety of key industries, including healthcare and the growing tech sector. It also showcases a strong desire from travelers in the Boston-area to visit Louisville – known for its bourbon experiences, culinary scene and a wide array of local attractions. Plus, the flight will improve international connectivity, making it even easier to reach Paris, Amsterdam, London, Lisbon, Edinburgh, Dublin and Seoul from SDF.

“Congratulations to Delta Air Lines for expanding their reach from Louisville,” added Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. “Dan and the SDF team continue to build on their momentum in recent years as they bring even more options for air travel to our community.

This boosts the city’s economic efforts and provides a great way for Bostonians to experience the hometown of The Champ.” The new flight will be offered on a 76-seat Embraer 175, complete with multiple seating options, including First Class, Delta Comfort+ and economy. The aircraft is equipped with Wi-Fi and provides in-seat power outlets to those in First Class and Delta Comfort+. With the addition of Boston, Delta offers nonstop service to five destinations from Louisville, including Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis and New York LaGuardia.
