A medical billing services company has announced plans to expand its operations in Barbourville, bringing up to 125 new jobs to the area.
Brick Mountain LLC is owned by Miami-based Pacer Health Corporation, which operates several hospitals in the Southeast, including Knox County Hospital.
Brick Mountain began operating in Barbourville earlier this year and currently employs a staff of 25. Pacer plans to build a new 10,000-square-foot facility in Barbourville to house the company’s expanded operations. The new facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2009 or early 2010.
The new jobs will offer wages ranging from $7.15 to $15 per hour, plus a benefits package.
