The Brown Hotel gets 20th consecutive AAA Four Diamond Award

Newly renovated Louisville hotel celebrates two decades on prestigious list

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 6, 2013) — The iconic Brown Hotel in Louisville, Ky., has been awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award for the 20th year in a row.

Since 1993, the landmark hotel has been one of AAA’s top places to stay in America. AAA’s rigorous quality standards indicated that of 30,000 hotels approved by AAA, only 5.1 percent made the Four Diamond list in 2013. Fewer than than 200 hotels nationwide have retained a Four Diamond rating for 20 years or longer, according to the travel organization.

The English Grill restaurant inside the Brown Hotel earned the AAA Four Diamond Award for the 19th time this year. It is the longest running Four Diamond Award winner in the state of Kentucky.

AAA Diamond ratings represent a combination of overall quality, range of facilities and level of services offered by each property. The ranking system goes from one to five. The Four Diamond rating notes that the hotel is upscale in all areas and progressively refined and stylish.
