SERVPRO to establish regional headquarters in London

Emergency cleanup company to create 10 jobs, invest more than $660,000

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 8, 2013) – Roberts Ventures LLC, through the name of SERVPRO of Pulaski and Laurel Counties, is establishing its headquarters in London, creating 10 jobs and investing $666,500.

SERVPRO_Logo“SERVPRO of Pulaski and Laurel Counties will provide an extremely valuable service to this area, making emergency clean-up an accessible resource in times of need,” said Gov. Steve Beshear. “The commonwealth welcomes this headquarters operation to London, and we’re very happy to see 10 new, full-time jobs and such a significant investment in the region.”

In London since 2005, SERVPRO of Pulaski and Laurel Counties specializes in the cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial property after fire, smoke or water damage. SERVPRO of Pulaski and Laurel Counties can also mitigate mold and mildew from homes or businesses. The company has constructed a 15,000-s.f. facility on Commonwealth Drive in London to serve as its regional headquarters.

“We take great pride in serving this area of Kentucky, and we’re especially glad to partner with the commonwealth to expand that service and add jobs and investment here,” said Julie Roberts, president of SERVPRO of Pulaski and Laurel Counties. “It’s our goal to help people recover, move ahead, and get things back to the way they should be, and there is nothing more satisfying than providing hope and a sense of security to our community.”

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $300,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.

“The City of London welcomes SERVPRO of Pulaski and Laurel Counties to our business community,” said London Mayor Troy Rudder. “Owners Tony and Julie Roberts do their part to ensure the Laurel County community thrives by helping those less fortunate, keeping the area safe and making our community the best it can be.”
