Ford executive will kick off Leadership Louisville women’s speaker series

Registration now open for March 19 event

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 12, 2013) — Named one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry by Automotive News, 27-year Ford Motor Co. veteran, Mary Lou Quesnell will take the wheel as the Louisville Leadership Center’s 100 Wise Women series begins its 2013 season.

The event is set for Tuesday, March 19 from 8 to 10 a.m. at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Ave. Registration is now open at www.leadershiplouisville.org; the cost is $30.

The 100 Wise Women series brings successful women leaders – wise women – together with emerging women leaders to share perspectives on themes presented by distinguished keynote speakers. Designed to increase the base of Louisville’s qualified, connected women leaders, over 700 women attended the forums in 2012 and every event has sold out since the series started in 2007. Tuesday, March 19 – Mary Lou Quesnell, marketing director, Ford Customer Service Division, Ford Motor Co.

Wednesday, June 12 – Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, director, Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness

Wednesday, July 31 – Lynnie Meyer and Charlotte Ipsan, both of Norton Healthcare. Lynnie is system vice president, Women’s and Children’s Community Partnerships, and chief development officer. Charlotte ispresident of Norton Women’s Hospital/Kosair Children’s Hospital – St. Matthews.

Proceeds from 100 Wise Women go to the Joan Riehm Women’s Leadership Fund, created to allow women to participate in Leadership Louisville Center programs. Since the scholarship fund was created in 2007, 75 women have received scholarships totaling more than $80,000.

100 Wise Women provides an opportunity like no other for professional networking and is ideal for developing a network of mentors, colleagues and friends – essential to helping women lead in their careers and in the community. The conversations related to career success and professional and personal goals between distinguished women leaders and emerging career women allow the women to foster comfortable mentoring relationships.
