Hyatt Regency Cincinnati completes interior portion of $23 million makeover

Cincinnati, Ohio (July 11, 2013) – Hyatt Regency Cincinnati announced today the completion of renovations to its lobby and existing 486 guest rooms, as well as the addition of five new rooms.

All 491 guest rooms are furnished in neutral tones with red accents and incorporate new bedding, wall coverings, drapes, workstations, carpeting, mini-refrigerators, safes and LG 42” flat screen televisions. The newly completed lobby features a clean, modern design with a variety of seating areas for guests to gather. The new front desk/ check-in area features pods to allow for front desk associate and guest interaction. In addition, Cincinnati-inspired artwork is featured throughout the property.

“These latest renovations allow us to focus on what’s most important to our guests: providing them with a unique experience that anticipates their needs and ensures the most enjoyable stay possible,” said Bruce Flyer, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. “The new rooms – as well as the changes we’ve been able to implement locally as part of the evolution of the Hyatt brand – allow us to provide a customized experience to our guests.”

Earlier this year, Hyatt hotels and resorts completed the largest guest listening exercise in the company’s history, resulting in the launch of new amenities, including: guest request communication cards; streamlined, white bedding; upgraded toiletries; healthier, balanced menu offerings and a service providing frequently forgotten items.

“We’re listening to our guests and providing them with what they need during their stay in a way we haven’t been able to before,” said Flyer. “We’re looking forward to sharing a new Hyatt Regency experience with guests visiting Cincinnati for events like the Bunbury Music Festival, Reds games and more.”

The completion of the guest room and lobby updates mark the latest milestones in the property’s $23 million extensive makeover that began in December 2012. Red Roost Tavern, a new upscale, farm-to-table style restaurant, opened on the hotel’s lobby level in early June, and The Market, an on-the-go dining option with specialty sandwiches and beverages, opened June 14.

Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, a 491-guest room hotel, offers a variety of guestrooms including a Presidential Suite, Premier Suite and 12 VIP suites. All of Hyatt Regency Cincinnati’s accommodations feature pillow-top Hyatt Grand Beds™, iHome alarm clocks and large workstations with high-speed wireless internet access.
