Food Network chefs Jamie and Bobby Deen present two shows
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 23, 2013) — Food, recipes, ingredients, preparation, assorted gadgetry and of course, tasting are what it’s all about at the fifth annual Kentucky Proud Incredible Food Show on Saturday at Lexington Center and Rupp Arena.
More than 100 vendors and exhibitors will begin arriving at 8 a.m. on Friday to begin setting up for this one-day consumer trade show. The show will feature a full day of programming, which includes seminars, live cooking demonstrations, local wineries, restaurants and product sampling at The Marketplace in the main exhibit hall.
Celebrity chefs Jamie & Bobby Deen will take center stage in Rupp Arena for two shows at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Deen Brothers will focus on using locally sourced Kentucky Proud ingredients to prepare a seasonal recipe.
Features at this year’s Incredible Food Show include Restaurant Row, where attendees can purchase “small plate” offerings from regional restaurants, a Traditional Foodcraft Area showcasing demonstrations of traditional Kentucky heritage food, and a Quick Tips booth offering demonstrations of a variety of cooking techniques from making the perfect cup of coffee to home-made biscuits.
A free Kentucky Proud breakfast, hosted by Sullivan University, will be provided to the first 300 paid admissions. Four volunteers at the breakfast will be invited to participate in the Pro/Am cook off competition later that day. A complete schedule of programs and events is available online at www.incrediblefoodshow.com.
