Gateway offering LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt training

six_sigmaFLORENCE, Ky. (Dec. 5, 2013) — The Workforce Solutions Division of Gateway Community and Technical College will provide a two-week LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt training course in February and March 2014.

The course will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 10-14 and March 10-14 at Gateway’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing at the Boone Campus, 500 Technology Way, Florence. Participants must attend both weeks of class.

The course prepares participants to perform the role of a LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt through a comprehensive curriculum that covers the entire D-M-A-I-C body of knowledge required for Green Belt certification and performance standards. The training will provide participants to choose a project that adds value to their companies to help improve business processes.

The cost of the course is $2,500 per person. Kentucky employers paying for an employee’s course fee may be eligible for state KY WINS (Kentucky Workforce Investment Network System) funding to offset costs.  For information about KY WINS, contact Barry Wilhite at 859-442-1145.
