Free human resources seminars will cover healthcare, tax credits and more

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 8, 2014) – The Kentucky Career Center and the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers have put together a human resources seminar that is being made available for free at three locations throughout the state in 2014.

The seminars will cover companies’ responsibilities pertaining to the following issues:

Focus Talent/Focus Career: Representatives will discuss how Kentucky’s new user-friendly job-posting portal can help with your recruiting needs.

UI SIDES (Unemployment Insurance – State Information Data Exchange System): Representatives will share how SIDES allows employers to respond to UI information requests from UI agencies electronically.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: Representatives from BB&T Insurance Services will discuss how the new Affordable Care Act will affect your business.

The seminars will be held on Feb. 19 at General Butler State Resort Park, June 18 at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park and Aug. 20 at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park.
