Beshear, legislative leaders to speak tonight at Kentucky Chamber Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 9, 2013) — More than 1,300 of Kentucky’s business leaders tonight will attend the 19th Annual Kentucky Chamber Day. During the event, Gov. Steve Beshear and the state’s top legislative leaders will share their visions for Kentucky’s economy, government and politics for the year ahead.

logo-kentucky-chamberKentucky Chamber Day, presented by Fidelity Investments, will be conducted at the Lexington Convention Center and has moved to Heritage Hall on the lower level. The event will begin with a reception at 5 p.m. The senate president, speaker of the house, senate minority leader and house minority leader will also offer their thoughts on the 2014 General Assembly beginning at 7:20 p.m. It is estimated that Gov. Beshear will take the stage at 8:20 p.m.

Kentucky Chamber Chairwoman Elizabeth McCoy of Planters Bank in Hopkinsville and Chamber President and CEO Dave Adkisson will also offer remarks regarding the Chamber’s priorities for 2014.
