LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 14, 2014) — The assets of W.T. Congleton Co. have been acquired by IMI South, LLC, a subsidiary of Irving Materials Inc. The announcement was made by The Pulliam Co., a business intermediary and broker.
W.T. Congleton Co. was founded in Lexington in 1915 and has been owned and operated by members of the Congleton family since its inception. Originally a building supply firm, the company currently deals exclusively in Ready-Mix concrete products.
Irving Materials is a privately held, employee-owned corporation with headquarters in Greenfield, Ind. It provides ready-mixed concrete throughout the South and Midwest with regional operation centers are located in Evansville, Ind., Louisville, Ky., and Nashville. The company has been in business for more than 50 years.
