Transylvania has best Greek Life, according to Princeton Review survey

Centre, Berea, UofL also make top 20 lists

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 2, 2014) — Transylvania University is the place to be for students interested in pledging a fraternity or sorority. Transylvania was ranked No. 1 in the nation in Greek Life in the Princeton Review’s survey of 62 categories among the top 379 colleges.

About 130,000 students were surveyed, with Princeton Review putting together a top 20 list for each of the 62 categories. At Transylvania 60 percent of female students join a sorority and 44 percent of male students join a fraternity.

Berea College was ranked No. 8 for Is It Food? and No. 18 for Got Milk?

Centre College was ranked No. 4 for Most Popular Study Abroad Programs, No. 11 for Easiest College to get Around, No. 13 for Most Accessible Professors and No. 16 for Best-Run Colleges.

University of Louisville was No. 14 for Best Athletic Facilities, No. 17 for Professors Get Low Marks, No. 19 for Jock Schools and Students Pack the Stadiums and No. 20 for Best Health Service.

University of Kentucky and Bellarmine University were included in the survey but didn’t finish in the top 20 in any category.
