Free classes scheduled for minority and women-owned businesses

Classes begin on Monday in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 16, 2014) — A series of free classes for women and minority-owned businesses seeking to conduct business with the government begins Monday and runs through Nov. 20.

The classes are free and open to the public. Most of the classes are being held at Commerce Lexington, 330 East Main Street, in Lexington.

The LFUCG and the Kentucky Procurement Technical Assistance Center (KPTAC) have also formed a partnership to increase the number of capable vendors and advertise procurement opportunities around the country.

PTACs serve as a resource for businesses pursuing and performing under government contracts, including contracts with the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, state and local governments and with government prime contractors.
