University to dedicate Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business

MURRAY, Ky. (April 13, 2012) — Murray State University next week will dedicate the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business.

The dedication ceremony will be Friday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m.

Bauernfeind is a 1960 graduate of the College of Business at Murray State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his MBA in 1961 from the University of Kentucky.

After graduation, Bauernfeind served as lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1961-1962.

Bauernfeind has distinguished himself in the financial industry, rising to his current position as Chairman Emeritus of Westfield Capital Management Company in Boston, Mass. He has been a member of the MSU Foundation Board of Trustees for nearly 20 years and has served as its chair for the past 10 years.

The ceremony will include an unveiling of the College of Business and remarks by Murray State President Dr. Randy J. Dunn, Dr. Tim Todd and Bauernfeind.
