State Board of Elections certifies vote totals

More than 46 percent of registered voters cast ballots

VoteFRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 18, 2014) — Today, the State Board of Elections certified vote totals from the Nov. 4 General Election and issued certificates of election to candidates who received the highest number of votes.

Approximately 1.5 million Kentuckians, more than 46 percent of registered voters, cast ballots in the General Election, said Alison Lundergan Grimes, Kentucky’s Chief Election Official.

Pursuant to Kentucky law, the Office of the Attorney General will randomly select six counties in which it will conduct a post-election audit. The drawing to select the counties that will be audited is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday.
