Lane closures on New Circle Road in Lexington this weekend

Areas affected between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 9, 2015) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announced that roadwork on New Circle Road in Lexington for Friday and Saturday has been rescheduled due to weather temperatures. The closures are necessary for bridge demolition operations to be completed.

ky transportationOn Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the left lane of the outer loop will be closed. Also during that time the entire road will be closed between the Leestown and Old Frankfort Pike exits for 30 minute intervals beginning at 10 p.m.

A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH will be in effect at all times.

Motorists are advised to utilize side streets in lieu of traveling New Circle Road to avoid delays.

All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
