Bowling Green Senator makes announcement on website
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (April 7, 2015) — Sen. Rand Paul, of Bowling Green, announced today on his website that he will enter the 2016 Presidential Race.
Paul said in a statement: “I am running for president to return our country to the principles of liberty and limited government.”
Polls show Paul in a three-way tie for third place in the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. Jeb Bush and Scott Walker lead the most recent average of polls.
Paul scheduled a press conference for this afternoon.
