LONDON, Ky. (May 21, 2015)— KentuckyOne Health has named Terrence G. Deis as the new president of Saint Joseph London. He will assume his new role on June 1, 2015.
Deis has more than 20 years of diverse hospital management experience, including financial, operational, technical and strategic leadership. He most recently served as president and chief executive officer of UH Parma Medical Center, a 332-bed acute care facility with 2,000 employees located in Parma, Ohio.
“Terry is a proven leader with significant health care management experience,” said Lisa Shannon, chief operating officer of KentuckyOne Health. “His leadership and expertise will be a valuable asset to Saint Joseph London and its work to bring wellness, healing and hope to all in Laurel County and the surrounding communities.”
Deis has led many quality and operational improvement initiatives. He focuses on accountability and results. Under his leadership, publicly-reported patient satisfaction and quality scores have been improved and maintained.
Deis is a certified public accountant and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bowling Green State University, and a master’s in business administration from Cleveland State University.
Deis and his wife Rosa are the proud parents of three daughters. The family will begin the process of relocating to London in the coming weeks. Outside of his professional life, Deis enjoys participating in and supporting local events in his community, including 5K runs and local projects.
