MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (June 19, 2015) — Tredway White Inc., a newly licensed industrial hemp fiber processor, today announced a partnership with Hendrix Hemp LLC for the research and development of hemp for fiber in Kentucky.

Hendrix is conducting an industrial hemp pilot project under a memorandum of understanding with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

Tredway White planted its first industrial hemp crop on Mayflower Farm in Mount Sterling earlier this month. Mayflower Farm will continue to plant additional acreage over the next few weeks and will study different soil preparation, planting, cultivating, and harvesting techniques for the crop throughout the growing season.

Hendrix Hemp will also provide consulting on processing, product development, business development and strategic growth strategies for the fiber market.

Josh Hendrix is the founder and CEO of Hendrix Hemp and also manager of the Mayflower Farm. Tatianna Gildersleeve is the CEO and Founder of Tredway White.
